Did you know... The CARES Act includes a provision permitting a one-year delay in RMDs. Thus, any distribution that would otherwise be due this year would be deferred to next year; and, likewise, distributions due in later years would also be deferred.

It’s been said the coronavirus malaise we presently experience is a war. As you review this please don’t mistake me for being insensitive about whatever our current deaths have been or may yet occur. However, the present noise of today can mislead us in perspective. In previous wars or calamities, the masses were mobilized.

So, what’s new? It’s always something different, isn’t it?
So, it would seem that taking a long vacation should not occur again. Let me share why. In late 2008 Camille and I took a long vacation to visit Israel with friends from church. On one of the days there the US stock market had one of its largest drops in history and continued to decline in stages for the next few months.

On Wednesday afternoon, the Internal Revenue Service (“IRS”) issued Relief for Taxpayers Affected by Ongoing Coronavirus Disease 2019 Pandemic (Notice 2020-17).

In order to achieve most things in life, we must stay focused on its attainment. When I was a teenager I wanted badly a Schwinn Continental bicycle. I mowed a lot of yards and delivered a lot of newspapers all summer to earn the money to achieve what was important. The Bible asserts that if we don’t have vision (long-term focus) we perish.

It’s no mistake that the first principle of how we can glorify God through our work is also the first principle discussed amongst the six transcendent planning principles, which is ownership. If the understanding is that God owns it all and that we glorify God through imitating His character.
