3 Key Questions – How do you Maximize the Impact of Wealth?

Jennifer Hester |

Last blog we continued to cover the 3 key long-term questions you should ask yourself when it comes to your wealth:

1. How much is enough for you?
2. How much is enough for your heirs?
3. What do you do with what’s left over?

After you determine how much money is needed to accomplish your goals (See Blog 1) and how much money will be most beneficial for heirs (See Blog 2), the last step is to decide what to do with what’s left over. What issues get you excited? Are there local or global needs that are important to you? What’s your plan to support the causes you are passionate about?

These are important questions that shouldn’t just be asked when you’re planning your final wishes, but it’s a critical topic to cover. The impact of a person’s wealth will reverberate long after they are gone. Lives can be changed, but estate planning can be a difficult topic. It’s easy to delay, but having no plan simply means other people will decide your legacy and your impact. No one can avoid the fact that they entered the world with nothing and they will leave with nothing. Your wealth will have the greatest impact when you can confidently answer all the questions above. If you want to maximize the impact of your wealth with heirs and with the causes most important to you, give us a call and we’ll help you create that plan!
